Privacy policy

Hide Faces collects no data. It has no accounts, no analytics, no ads and no tracking, and your photos never leave your iPhone. The only connection the app makes is to Apple's App Store, to sell Unlimited and check that it's active. Nothing you do in the app is sent to the developer or to anyone else.
Your photos
- Picking
- You choose photos with the iPhone's own photo picker. The app sees only the photos you pick, not the rest of your library.
- Finding faces
- Faces are found on your iPhone with Apple's Vision framework. Photos never leave the device.
- Saving
- The covered copy is saved to your library as a new photo. The app asks only for permission to add photos, and your original is never changed. The saved copy carries no location, camera or other metadata.
What the app keeps
To show the photos you've covered, the app keeps a small thumbnail and a reduced copy of each covered photo in its own storage on your iPhone. You can remove any of them in the app, and all of them are deleted when you delete the app. Like other app data, they are included in your iPhone's backups if you back it up.
The app also counts how many photos you've saved this month, so it knows how many free photos are left. The count is kept in your iPhone's keychain, which keeps it after the app is deleted, so reinstalling doesn't start the free photos over. It stays on your iPhone and isn't synced to other devices.
Purchases
Each month you can save 10 photos for free. Unlimited, a monthly subscription or a one-time purchase, is sold through Apple's App Store. Apple handles the payment, and the developer never receives your name, Apple Account or payment details. The app only asks the App Store whether Unlimited is active on your Apple Account. You can manage or cancel a subscription in your iPhone's Settings.
